About Granular Flooring

As we know, in the flooring industry, flooring has several sub-branches and has different applications, for example, in the construction industry, various types of stone, rubber, PVC, tile, wood, etc. are used to create flooring; Also in different industries, other types are used, such as: glass wool, nylon, epoxy resin, epoxy granite, etc.

In the urban furniture industry, flooring has many applications; Among them is granular flooring, which is usually spread on children’s playgrounds and playgrounds, along with polyethylene play sets and other park play equipment. It is true that granules are part of polymeric materials, but obviously granules are not the name of a particular polymer. Therefore, it refers to a type of granular polymer obtained in petrochemicals that is melted and converted into various forms. In other words, all polymeric materials can be converted into granules according to their application and factors such as scotch and so on.

Using different granules, rubber granular flooring can be produced. One of the largest and most important parts of the plastics industry is the plastic waste recycling sector, and it can be rightly said that the production of granular flooring is part of the waste recycling process, because the raw materials for this work are worn car tires. Of course, car tires, after becoming rubber powder and rubber granules, can be used in the manufacture of various colored reinforcements, in the production of asphalt, as well as as the main fuel for industrial furnaces.

Granular flooring is produced and used in different thicknesses such as: 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, etc. and in dimensions of 100 by 100 and 50 by 50 cm. Fortunately, there are no color restrictions on granular flooring, and installing them is not complicated. Usually, various types of industrial adhesives can be used to install granular flooring on smooth surfaces. Of course, in special circumstances, they can be installed with bolts and nuts, but due to the reduction of useful life and the creation of possible cracks on the floor, this method of installation is not common, except in exceptional cases.

When installing the flooring, according to the season in which the installation is done, the climatic conditions of the area and the thickness of the granular flooring, the distances between them are determined and observed.
